Before you replace the recoil starter on your leaf blower make sure the engine has cooled.

Next, you should remove the wire and boot from the spark plug to prevent the engine from accidentally starting.

Use a t-27 torx bit or a flat-head screwdriver to unthread the screws to release the old starter.

Install the new recoil starter by aligning it on the engine then replace the screws to secure.

With the repair completed reattach the wire and boot to the spark plug and your leaf blower should be ready for use.
