Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the float switch in your dishwasher be sure to turn off the power to the appliance.

Using a phillips-head screwdriver, unthread the mounting screws securing the lower access panels.

Set both panels aside.

Next, use a small flat-head screwdriver to help detach the float switch actuator lever so you can unthread the mounting screw securing the switch itself.

Detach the wires to fully remove the old switch.

Before you install the new float switch make sure the actuator lever is detached.

Now connect the wires to the switch terminals.

Position the switch on the underside of the tub then thread and tighten the mounting screw.

With the cup-side facing up, align the actuator lever and snap it into place.

Realign both lower access panels and replace the screws to secure.

With the repair completed turn the power back on and your dishwasher should be ready for use.
