Before you begin the replacement, make sure the engine has cooled remove the wire and boot from the spark plug and turn the fuel valve off

Your first step is to unhook the two ends of the old governor spring if still intact and take note of the connection points.

Install the new governor spring by hooking one end onto the governor lever and the other end onto the control bracket assembly.
4
Turn the fuel valve back on and reattach the spark plug wire and boot.
