Before you begin this repair, make sure the engine has cooled remove the wire and boot from the spark plug and turn off the fuel valve.

Your first step is to remove the screw securing the dipstick tube.

If still intact, pull the old tube upward to remove then pull out the old seal.

Install the new dipstick tube by first threading the new seal into place.

Apply some oil to the lower portion of the tube to lubricate it and insert the tube into the engine sump cover.

Secure it with the screw.

Insert the dipstick into the tube and rotate to lock it into place.

You can now turn the fuel valve back on and reattach the spark plug wire and boot.
