Before beginning this procedure, be sure to remove the snowblower’s start key from the ignition.

To replace the clutch spring, your first step is to slide up the spring cover and detach the cable adjuster from the old spring.

Next, unhook the old spring from the bail lever and set the spring aside.

Install the new clutch spring by first transferring the cover from the old spring to the new one.

Now, hook the spring onto the bail lever and attach the opposite end to the cable adjuster.

With the new clutch spring installed you can now return the start key to the ignition.
