Step By Step Instructions

Before beginning this procedure, be sure to remove the snowblower’s start key from the ignition.

To replace the auger cable, first remove the three screws securing the belt cover and pull the cover off.

Next, remove the “z”-end of the old cable from the bail lever.

Now unhook the spring end of the old cable from the idler bracket.

Pull the old cable free of the housing and discard.

Install the new auger cable by routing the cable through the housing.

Attach the spring end to the idler bracket and connect the “z”-end of the new cable to the bail lever.
8
Reposition the belt cover and secure it with the screws.
9
With the new cable installed you can now return the start key to the ignition.
