"Step 1: Make sure the engine and muffler has cooled and the on/off switch is in the ""off"" position. "

Step 2: Perform this procedure with little or no fuel in the tank.

Step 3: Use a T-27 Torx bit to unthread the four screws securing the starter.

Step 4: Remove the wire and boot from the spark plug.

Step 5: Unthread the five screws securing the engine cover.

Step 6: Pry off the cover which may require some effort.

Step 7: Set the leaf blower on its side.

Step 8: Remove the old spark arrestor.

Step 9: Install the new spark arrestor by aligning it in the recess on the muffler.

Step 10: Make sure the deflector gasket is in place and reposition the deflector and thread the screws.

Step 11: Align the new gasket then reposition the deflector and thread the screws.

Step 12: Thread and tighten the screws.

Step 13: Reattach the wire and boot to the spark plug.

Step 14: Reattach the wire and boot to the spark plug.
