"Step 1: Make sure the engine has cooled and the on/off switch is in the ""off"" position."

Step 2: Perform this procedure with little or no fuel in the tank.

Step 3: Use a large flat-head srewdriver to help pry the grommet free of the tank.

Step 4: Detach the fuel filter line from the upper fuel line.

Step 5: Release the spring clamp and remove the old connecter if still intact.

Step 6: Install the new fuel line connecter by inserting it into the fuel line.

Step 7: Secure it with the spring clamp and reattach the fuel line.

Step 8: Push the line through the grommet until the spring clamp is flush against it.

Step 9: Reinsert the fuel filter into the tank and push the grommet into place.

Step 10: Refill the fuel tank if necessary.
