Step By Step Instructions

Before you begin, be sure to shut off the power supply to the stove-top.

Your first step is to lift the appropriate coil surface element up to a 40 degree angle pull to detach the terminals from the receptacle. and remove the drip pan.

Next, remove the mounting screw securing the old terminal block and detach it from the main top.

Now, remove all four surface element knobs lift up the main top and support it.

Next, cut the wires to the old terminal block as close to the block as possible and remove the old block.

You’re now ready to install the new terminal block.

Prepare the new terminal block by bending the mounting tab back if necessary.

Now remove a half inch of insulation from the ends of the existing wires.

Connect the new terminal block wires to the existing wires using the nuts.

Slide the shields over the nuts and heat the shields to seal.

Remove the support, lower the main top and replace the surface element knobs.

Position the new terminal block on the main top and secure the mounting screw.

Align the drip pan so the notch in the pan is directly opposite the receptacle.

Insert the element into the receptacle at a 40 degree angle and align the metal support with the notch in the drip pan.

You’re now ready to turn on the power supply back on and confirm that the surface element is functioning properly.
