All of the information for this video is applicable to the following brands: Toro Step-By-Step Instructions 1 Toro Snowblower - Model 38752 2 Snowblower Speed Control Assembly Replacement 4 "You will need an 8mm socket, a 8mm wrench, a 3/8th inch socket and a half-inch socket for this procedure." 5 Make sure the engine has cooled. 6 Use an 8mm socket to unthread five of the six bolts securing the muffler cover. 7 Use a 8mm wrench to unthread the sixth bolt. 8 Use a 3/8th inch socket or nut driver to unthread the mounting bolt securing the housing to the rear bracket. 9 Unthread the screws to release the two retaining clamps holding the housing to the handle. 10 Use a half-inch socket to fully unthread the upper bolts securing the handle assembly. 11 Lower the handle to fully remove the muffler cover. 12 Use the 8mm socket to unthread the two mounting bolts securing the speed control assembly. 13 Detach the governor spring and you can fully remove the old assembly. 14 Install the new speed control assembly by first attaching the governor spring to the lower hole. 15 "Align the assembly on the engine, then thread the mounting bolts to secure." 16 Be aware you can rotate the speed control adjustment screw clockwise to increase the engine speed and counter-clockwise to decrease the speed. 17 Reposition the muffler cover and thread the six bolts to secure. 18 Reposition the handle assembly and rethread the upper bolts. 19 Align the two retaining clamps and thread the screws to secure the housing to the handle. 20 Rethread the mounting bolt to secure the housing to the rear bracket. 21 Congrats! Your snowblower is ready for use.
