Step By Step Instructions

Before you begin this repair, be sure to unplug the appliance and turn off the gas supply.

Your first step is to remove all four burner valve knobs.

Now, remove all of the burner grates and caps.

Next, uninstall the screws securing the burner bases and pull the bases off.

Now lift the main top off.

Loosen the nut securing the gas supply tube to the orifice holder you’re replacing and pull the tube out.

Next, depress the locking tab on the spark electrode wire and remove the wire from the terminal.

Uninstall the two mounting screws securing the old orifice holder and remove the holder.

Install the new orifice holder by aligning it on the cross brace then secure it with the mounting screws.

Attach the wire to the electrode terminal.

Insert the gas supply tube into the orifice holder and tighten the nut.

Replace the main top making sure the orifice holders align with the holes.

Replace the burner bases by lining up the electrodes with the slot or hole in each base and secure each of them with the screws.

Replace the burner caps grates and burner valve knobs.

You’re now ready to turn the gas supply back on plug the appliance back in and check the stove-top to make sure it’s functioning properly.
