Lawn Mower Rear Door Replacement
"You will need vice-grip pliers, a hammer, and a large flat-head screwdriver for this procedure."
"Remove the grass bag, if applicable."
Lift up the rear door and place the vice-grip pliers on the pivot rod.
Use the hammer to strike the pliers to slide the pivot rod out through the right side of the rear axle support.
"With the end of the rod accessible, use the pliers to fully remove the rod."
"With the rod removed, lift off the old rear door."
"To prepare the new rear door for installation, transfer the left and right torsion springs from the old door to the new one."
Insert the left-side spring into the new door and rotate clockwise to seat it.
Insert the right-side spring and rotate counter-clockwise.
"If necessary, use the large flat-head screwdriver to push the end of each spring into place."
"Align the new door on the axle support, making sure the end of the springs are positioned on the outside edge of the support - use the screwdriver to do this."
