Step By Step Instructions

1
As with any repair, be sure you unplug the appliance before beginning.
2
Your first step is to insert a putty knife under the main top to release the two spring clips securing the front panel.
3
Pull the front panel forward and lift up to remove.
4
If still intact, remove the old belt from the pulley and motor shaft.
5
You’re now ready to install the new drive belt.
6
Be aware that the new belt may be slightly smaller than the drive pulley and will need to be stretched to be installed.
7
To do this, zip-tie the new belt to the right side of the pulley with the flat side facing outward.
8
You can slide a belt install tool onto the motor shaft to make installation easier.
9
Now, loop the belt onto the motor shaft and rotate the drive pulley counter-clockwise to help fully align the belt.
10
With the new belt installed, you can remove the zip-tie and the install tool if applicable.
11
Reposition the front panel by aligning the tabs on the base with the slots at the bottom of the panel.
12
Align the pins on the front of the cabinet with the holes in the front panel and snap the panel into position.
13
You’re now ready to plug the power cord back in and confirm that the appliance is functioning properly.
