As with any repair, be sure you’ve unplugged the appliance before beginning.

Your first step is to remove the back panel.

You’ll need to remove the lint housing next.

To do this, pull out the lint screen and remove the two screws near the opening.

Insert a putty knife under the front of the main top to release the two spring clips and rotate the top up.

Remove the mounting screws and pull away the lint screen housing, revealing the old lint screen foam seal.

If still intact, peel away the old seal, and use a rag to clean away any residue.

Prepare the new foam seal by peeling away the backing to expose the adhesive.

Insert it evenly around the air vent outlet and press down to seal.

Reinsert the lint screen housing and secure it with the mounting screws.

Rotate the top down, and snap it into place.

Install the screws at the lint screen opening and reinsert the lint screen.

Replace the back panel and plug the appliance back in.
