As with any repair, be sure to turn off the power supply to your dishwasher before beginning.

To replace the drain solenoid, your first step is to remove the screws to release the lower access panels and set the panels aside.

Next, remove the wire harness from the old solenoid.

Use pliers to detach the drain solenoid return spring from the mounting bracket.

Use a small flathead screwdriver to remove the drain arm retaining clip.

Now lift off the drain arm and spring.

Remove the screws securing the solenoid mounting bracket and lift the solenoid and bracket off.

Prepare the new drain solenoid for installation by transferring the plunger from the old component to the new one.

Making sure the plunger is in place align the new solenoid and bracket on the housing and secure the screws.

Insert the plunger pin into the drain arm and align the arm on the housing shaft.

Replace the retaining clip and reconnect the spring to the bracket.

Connect the wire harness.

Replace the lower access panels and secure them with the screws.

You’re now ready to turn the power supply back on and confirm that the dishwasher is functioning properly.
