Step By Step Instructions

As with any repair, be sure to turn off the power to your dishwasher before beginning.

To replace the sump gasket first remove the upper and lower dish racks.

Next, hold both ends of the lower wash arm and pull the assembly out.

This may require some effort.

Remove the screw to release the water guide retaining clip.

Now detach the water guide from the upper and rear mounting brackets then rotate the guide to remove it from the filter assembly.

Now remove the screws to release the lower access panel.

Pull out the outer sound dampening pad.

You will now need to remove the inner access panel.

Although it’s not necessary, you can remove the outer door panel first to give yourself more room.

Once you’ve removed the screws securing the inner access panel

Unsnap the panel from the main wire harness and set it aside.

Pull out the inner sound dampening pad.

Reach under the dishwasher and remove the screws to release the sump holders.
15
Push in the tabs securing the pump and motor assembly while lifting it up.
16
Open the dishwasher door and pull off the old sump gasket if still intact.
17
Install the new sump gasket by positioning it around the sump assembly with the lip on the bottom.

With the gasket installed, align the two arrows and snap the sump into place.

Position the sump holders and secure them with the screws.

Reposition the inner sound dampening pad.

Snap the main wire harness onto the inner access panel align the tabs on the rails and push the panel into position.

Secure it with the screws.

Replace the outer sound dampening pad.

Reposition the lower access panel and secure it with the screws.

Replace the outer door panel if necessary.

Insert the water guide into the filter assembly and rotate to secure.

Snap the water guide into the two mounting brackets and replace the retaining clip.

Replace the lower wash arm by aligning it on the filter assembly and pushing firmly into place.

Make sure the arm spins freely and replace both the upper and lower dish racks.

You’re now ready to restore power to the dishwasher and confirm that it’s functioning properly.
