As with any repair, you should unplug the power cord before beginning.

To replace the hinge cam on your freezer

First remove the screws to release the kick plate.

Next, use pliers to detach the door wire harness retainer from the frame.

Untwist the second retainer to release the wire harness and disconnect the harness connecter.

Next, remove the upper hinge cover.

Use a tamper-proof bit to remove the two hinge screws.

Support the door as you pull off the upper hinge then carefully lift the door off of the lower hinge and set it down on a blanket or towel.

Lift off the old hinge cam if still intact.

Install the new hinge cam by aligning it on the lower hinge.

Apply some lubricant to the new cam then reinstall the door by positioning it on the cam.

Support the door as you replace the upper hinge.

Secure it loosely with the screws.
