Quality Garbage Disposer Blade Parts From Repair Clinic
If your garbage disposer has suddenly stopped grinding, it’s likely the grinding or shredding plate has jammed, which can be caused by inserting certain fibrous materials such as potato peels and corn husks into the sink drain. You can manually turn the shredding plate to clear any obstruction by inserting an Allen wrench into the opening on the bottom of the disposer housing and rotating it back-and-forth. If your model doesn’t have an opening on the bottom, a wooden broom handle can be inserted through the drain opening to turn the plate. With repeated use, the shredding plate can wear down and require replacement. Repair Clinic stocks genuine manufacturer shredding plates that fit all the top disposer brands, including Frigidaire, Insinkerator, Whirlpool, and more. You should enter the full model number of your garbage disposer in our website’s search bar, then select "Blade” from the part category filter to locate the right plate for your appliance.
