Champion Spark Plug (RC12YC). The spark plug ignites the fuel and air mixture in the cylinder to power the engine. If the spark plug is burnt, fouled or damaged the engine may not start or may run rough.
Bow Tie Cotter Pin
Fuel pump. If this fuel pump is being installed on a Intek V-Twin engine originally equipped with a metal fuel pump, related item 1567967. The fuel pump supplies fuel to the carburetor while the engine is running. If the fuel pump is clogged, the engine may not start or may run rough.
Briggs and Strartton in-line fuel filter with 40 micron rating and 1/4" inlet & outlet. If the engine does not start then the fuel filter may be clogged and not allowing enough fuel to enter the carburetor.
Self-tapping screw. 5/16-18 inches by .75 inches.
Crankcase oil seal, PTO side
MTD flange lock-nut, 1/4-20.
Briggs & Stratton starter gear (also called a pinion gear), 16-tooth, plastic. The starter gear engages the flyhweel to start the engine. If the teeth on the starter gear are worn out, the engine may not start.
Push rod for intake valve.
Briggs & Stratton exhaust push rod, steel.
Briggs & Stratton rocker cover gasket. Be certain that all surfaces are clean and dry before installing this gasket.
