Refrigerator or freezer temperature sensor (also called a thermistor). The thermistor monitors the refrigerator, freezer, and evaporator temperature and sends the temperature reading to the control board.

Refrigerator main control board assembly with installation instructions. This board also has the defrost controls built into it.

Refrigerator light switch. This switch activates the refrigerator light when the door is open. It also prevents the dispenser from working if the door is open.

High limit thermostat for refrigerator or freezer defrost heater, L140-30F. This thermostat is normally closed for continuity at room temperature. If the high limit thermostat is open at room temperature, the refrigerator's defrost system will not work.

Refrigerator run capacitor 12 uF. If this run capacitor is defective, the refrigerator will not run.

Refrigerator icemaker kit, The kit includes the fill cup, 4 pin wire harness adapter, and tube. If the icemaker is not working, make sure the freezer temperature is around zero degrees Fahrenheit. If the refrigerator temperature is correct, the icemaker or water valve could be defective.

The WR51X10038 defrost heater is an OEM part for refrigerators that melts frost from the evaporator fins during the automatic defrost cycle. It is compatible with Hotpoint, GE Americana, and RCA brands. Safety precautions should be taken during installation.
