First, make sure the engine has cooled.

Now, remove the wire and boot from the spark plug.

Use a 5/8 inch deep well socket or a spark plug wrench to help loosen the old spark plug.

Then, unthread it.

Before you install the new spark plug, confirm that the spark gap is at manufacturer's specifications.

This engine model requires a 20,000th of an inch gap.

Now, thread the new spark plug into the cylinder head.

Be careful not to strip the threads by over-tightening.

Attach the wire and boot to the spark plug, and your engine should be ready for use.
