Ice Machine Water Inlet Valve Replacement

Tools needed: Either a quarter-inch socket or nut driver, 5/16th inch wrench, small flat headed screwdriver

Unplug the power cord or shut off the power supply to the appliance

Shut off the water supply

Using a quarter-inch socket or nut driver, unthread the two mounting screws securing the lower outer access control panel

With the screws unthreaded, set the outer panel and inserts aside

Unthread the screws to release the inner access panel from the frame

Unthread the screws securing the water inlet valve bracket to the frame

You can use a 5/16th inch wrench to depress the retaining ring to release the inlet line from the valve

Use a small flat-head screwdriver to remove the locking clip securing the outlet line

Depress the retaining ring to release the line

Cut the zip tie securing the wire connecter and disconnect the connecter

Install the new water inlet valve by first connecting the wire connecter to the terminals

Insert the inlet and outlet lines into the appropriate valve ports

Slide in the locking clip to secure the outer line

Align the valve bracket on the frame and secure it with the screws

Reposition the inner access panel and tread the screws to secure it to the frame

Before you reinstall the outer panel, make sure the inserts are positioned then align the panel and rethread the mounting screws

Turn the water supply back on

Plug the power cord back in or restore the power supply and your ice machine should be ready for use
