01 - "Sud" might indicate an extra heavy load but usually is caused by excessive suds in washer due to the use of non HE detergent or too much detergent. An automatic suds routine adds additional rinse and drain operations until the suds level is reduced.
The manufacturer has assigned this error or fault code to indicate that there may be too many suds in the machine. Suds are the foam caused by agitation of the detergent. If a non-HE detergent is used, or too much detergent is used, this problem can occur. The machine will automatically try to reduce the suds by adding a rinse cycle but if it can’t reduce the suds enough it may pause the cycle. In some instances this error code displays if the pump or drain line are clogged or if the pump is defective.
