Dryer drum drive belt. This slender belt wraps all the way around the dryer drum, around a tension pulley, and then around the drive motor pulley. If the drum will not turn when the dryer is turned on the belt is likely broken.

Dryer thermal fuse (also called the thermal limit). Located on the blower housing. The thermal fuse blows to cut off power to the dryer if the dryer overheats. If the thermal fuse has blown, the dryer won't start. The thermal fuse cannot be reset--if the fuse has blown, it must be replaced.

Dryer thermistor. If the dryer displays a fault code the thermistor may be defective.

Dryer moisture sensor. The moisture sensor monitors the clothing’s moisture level and sends a signal to the control board when the clothes are dry. If your dryer turns off too early or continues running for a while after the clothes are dry, the moisture sensor might be damaged.
