turn off the water supply to the appliance

have an assistant help you to move the appliance away from the wall

using a quarter-inch socket, unthread the two mounting screws securing the lower outer access panel
11
use a flat-head screwdriver to help detach h the overload and start relay cover
12
detach the start relay
13
disconnect the wire from the overload and detach the old component
14
align the new component on the upper compressor motor pin
15
connect the wire to the terminal
16
realign the start relay on the lower compressor motor pins
17
reposition the cover and snap it into place
18
reinstall the access panel
