Step By Step Instructions

Before you replace the muffler assembly on your generator first make sure the engine and muffler have cooled.

Next, you should remove the wire and boot from the spark plug to prevent the engine from accidentally starting.

Use a 10 mm socket to remove the mounting bolts securing the muffler assembly to the support bracket.

Now use a 6 mm Allen wrench to unthread the muffler flange mounting bolts.

Pull the old muffler assembly free.

Before you install the new muffler assembly make sure the flange gasket is in place.

Now position the new muffler assembly and rethread the flange mounting bolts to secure.

Next, replace the bolts to secure the assembly to the support bracket.

Reattach the wire and boot to the spark plug and your generator should be ready for use.
